Let the adventure begin when you board your overnight Virgin Atlantic
Airways flight to London with meals and a movie on board.
July 22: Friday London
Arrive at London Heathrow Terminal 3 and proceed to Terminal 4 to connect
with your Kenya Airways 101 flight to Nairobi.
July 23/24: Sat/Sun
Tarangire National Park
Arrive Nairobi in the morning and connect with your flight to Kilimanjaro
Airport in Arusha. On arrival you will be met by Somak Safari’s Tour
Director and after a safari briefing continue your adventure to Tarangire
National Park, named after the river that flows through the length of the
park and provides a constant water source for the thousands of animals
making their home here. Lunch is at the lodge and a late afternoon game
drive will bring you close to a large variety of wildlife. Two more game
drives are planned for the next day.

July 25/26: Mon/Tues Ngorongoro
Crater
Early departure for Ngorongoro Conservation area; host to the ‘birthplace of
man’. It is also home to the unique intact caldera, the Ngorongoro Crater.
The crater is home to abundant wildlife, including the “big five” – elephant,
rhino, lion, leopard and buffalo. This afternoon depart on a half day tour
of the crater. Next day, proceed on an early morning tour of the crater.
Later this afternoon, enjoy photographing the wilderness landscape in the
surrounding area.

Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, drive to the heart of the world’s best-known park, the
Serengeti. Named after the Masai word, ‘Siringet’ for endless plains of
short and long grass. The Serengeti is well known for its large prides of
lions, cheetah, and for over a million or so wildebeest. Arrive in time
for lunch and a late afternoon game drive. Spend two days with morning and
afternoon game drive in the park. On the second morning, in lieu of the
morning game drive, an optional balloon safari is available at additional

Nairobi
This morning fly to Arusha and lunch at the Arumeru River Lodge. Later
connect with your flight to Nairobi and
overnight in the Nairobi Serena Hotel.

Lake Nakuru National Park
Drive through the Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National
Park once described by ornithologist Roger Tory-Peterson as ‘the most
fabulous bird spectacle in the world’. Afternoon game viewing drive along
the lakeshore. Next day morning and afternoon game drives in the park

Aug 01/02: Mon/Tues
Masai Mara National Park
Drive to the Kenya’s most famous National park, the Masai
Mara. The Mara is home to the annual migration where millions of wildebeest
and gazelle trek from the Serengeti plains into the Mara. Lunch at the
Keekorok lodge. Later this afternoon enjoy your first game drive in the
Masai Mara. Next day enjoy an early morning game drive. Return to the lodge
for lunch before your late afternoon game drive.

Masai Mara National Park
Morning game drive followed by breakfast at the lodge. Continue on to the
eastern part of the Masai Mara. Arrive in time for lunch at Ashnil Mara camp
followed by an afternoon game drive. On the next day an early morning game
drive with breakfast at the camp. Lunch at the camp followed by an afternoon
game drive.

Nairobi
Morning game drive followed by breakfast. After breakfast, transfer to
the airstrip for your flight to Nairobi where a Somak Safaris driver will
meet you and transfer you to the hotel. Afternoon time to relax or do some
last minute shopping. Dinner at the hotel. Later transfer to the airport for
